The Festivals of San Pedro and San Pablo in Burgos
The Festivals of San Pedro and San Pablo are the main attraction in
Burgos. It is celebrated for one week from the day of San Juan (23 of
June) until the day of San Pedro and San Pablo (June 29).
The festivities begin with a proclamation from the council followed
by parade with dances, giants, and parade floats. The many activities in
the city streets include fireworks, concerts, activities for
street children and as well as many others. Eid also
hosts bullfights and horse shows. The Valentine
Peter is celebrated with a solemn Mass and a wreath to St. Mary
The Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul ends with the Burgalés the
Absent, a procession in the park Fuentes Blancas which
pays tribute to Burgos who migrated and returned to
town for the holidays.
