The Monasterio de la Cartuja de Miraflores of Burgos

King John II of Castile after the Carthusian Order released him to his

In 1452 a serious fire destroyed the monastery. The monastery that we see
today was built in the same place from
1453 and was renamed Cartuja de Santa María de Miraflores. The
obrass wascompleted in 1484 at the request of Isabel the Catholic, to
be buried in his parents Juan II and Isabel of Portugal.
In the monastery complex stands the Church, in which a single spacecraft
center is the main altarpiece as well as the graves of
Isabel la Católica parents.
