Castle of Henry II in Ciudad Rodrigo
Henry II of Castile Castle, also called Ciudad Rodrigo Castle was built by the Castilian king in 1372. The castle was built around a tower 17meters called Homage Tower.
At the end of the XV century city walls were built around the city as well as an additional oval-shaped second perimeter of over 2 km in size.
Since 1930 the Castle of Ciudad Rodrigo has been part of the National House network.
