Cable Car of Gibraltar

The Cable Car was built in 1966 by Swiss manufacturer, Von Roll and has since ushered people into more memorable sightseeing experiences in Gibraltar. Its last extensive renovation was in 1986. The whole trip lasts some 6 minutes and takes passengers to an exhilarating 412 meters above sea level. Audio tour guides offer historical background on the sights. Restaurants and snack bars present a relaxing opportunity to enjoy the sights from the Top Station. Another option is to watch the famous Barbary Apes go about their daily chores from a special viewing area near the Cable Car.
