Arab Baths of El Bañuelo in Granada
El Bañuelo or El Nogal Arab Baths, were built in the eleventh century. They are one of the oldest works of Muslim Granada and one of the most complete and important buildings of this type that are still preserved.
The Arab Baths El Bañuelo have been superbly restored and can be clearly seen how it was distributed, faithfully reproducing the layout of the Roman baths. Its courtyard entrance, with a small pool, overlooks the lobby. From there pass the various rooms: the fresh, center and hot water.
The columns and capitals of the bathrooms are original and the remains of paint can still be seen on the baseboards. The vaults pierced in Star-shaped enclosure allow ventilation.
