San Cecilio of Granada
Every 1st of February, the city of Granada celebrates the feast of St. Cecilio, the patron saint of the city. The celebration consists of a pilgrimage to the Sacromonte Abbey held on the Sunday closest to the 1st of February. The origin of this pilgrimage dates back to 1599, when the population of the city was decimated by a plague.
The Pilgrimage takes place around the Sacromonte Abbey and its caves.
