Paseo del Prado of Madrid
The Paseo del Prado is one of the most important boulevards of Madrid. Following the vertical north-south from the Plaza de Cibeles to Plaza del Emperador Carlos V, popularly known as Glorieta de Atocha. Half of it converges with the Square of Allegiance and the Plaza Canovas del Castillo, which houses la fuente de Neptuno.
The Paseo del Prado houses some of the main museums in Spain. The museums of the Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza are found in the vicinity of the Reina Sofia Museum, touristically promoted under the name of Paseo del Arte.
In this avenue are also different monuments and sites of historical and artistic interest. Edificio Villanueva, the headquarters of the Prado Museum, the Botanical Garden and the sculptural fountains of Neptune and Apollo.
Finally, arriving at the Glorieta de Carlos V, known as the Cuesta de Moyano, one can find various stalls where you can find all kinds of used books.
