Pamplona
Pamplona is the capital of the Navarra region. It is nationally and internationally renowned as the home of the Sanfermines.
Furthermore, Pamplona has numerous monuments that have been declared Properties of Cultural Interest, such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the Church of San Saturnino, the Citadel and the Counting House, which is the home of Spain’s oldest accountancy firm.
The greenery of the city is another attraction: Pamplona has one tree for every two inhabitants. TheTaconera Gardens is the oldest park in the city, where the remains of the Wall of Pamplona are situated as well as the Presidium of the Taconera and the Gonzaga Bastion, dating from the sixteenth century.
Notably, the tallest tree in town is a redwood tree 37 meters high and 7 meters in circumference, It has lasted for a century and a half in the gardens of the Navarra Palace.
