Art Nouveau-Arte Déco Museum of Salamanca
The Museum of Art Nouveau and Art Deco was opened in 1995 and immediately became one of the most visited museums of Castile and Leon, with an average of more than 120,000 visitors annually. The attraction of Casa Lis, the modernist building from 1905 that houses the museum, is as nuch a draw as the collections on display.
The museum has a permanent exhibition consisting of 19 collections of decorative arts of the nineteenth and early twentieth century, consisting of nearly 2,500 pieces of excellent quality and in perfect condition.
The three main assets are the museum's Chryselephantines, porcelain dolls and glass.
