Feria de Abril of Seville
April Fair (Feria de Abril, in spanish) is next to Holy Week , the most important festival in the city of Seville.
April Fair always starts on the first Monday after two weeks past the end of Holy Week.
April Fair is held in a large compound, situated in the Barrio de los Remedios de Sevilla, which are installed booths and attractions. The Royal Enclosure Fair has 15 streets, all with names of bullfighters, has an area of 450,000 m2 and has 1047 booths. At these booths you can eat, drink and dance to the rhythm of Sevillanas (it should be borne in mind that many of them are private. Only free access public booths). The Fair also features an amusement park with about 400 different rides, known as Calle del Infierno.
On Monday the start of the Feria de Abril, at twelve o'clock at night, takes place "Alumbrao. It is the lighting of thousands of bulbs in the home and the streets of the Fair, followed by a fireworks display. The end point of the Feria de Abril takes place the following Sunday with the shutdown of the bulbs in the home, as well as fireworks.
