The Strait of Gibraltar contains a unique ecosystem and is a meeting point between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. This ecosystem supports the existence of dolphins and whales, while the inhabitants of these waters (reside or live consist of) in large family groups so that the probability of sighting is 98%. Other species such as orcas and sperm whales are considered semi-inhabitants, allowing them to be visible (spotted) as well. The Strait of Gibraltar is also a migratory route for whales.
