Christ of the Light Mosque of Toledo
The Christ of the Light Mosque (Mezquita del Cristo de la Luz in Spanish) has an almost complete preservation state and is the most important showcase of Islamic art in Toledo.
It was built in 999 by the architect Ali ibn inscription on the main facade.
In the twelfth century a Romanesque-Mudejar extension was added, formed by a semicircular apse and straight presbytery, decorated with Romanesque frescoes. The exterior is decorated with dark horseshoe arches.
