Albufera Natural Park in Valencia
The Albufera Natural Park is located 10 km. from the city and is a 1 m deep saltwater lake, separated from the sea by a sandbar.
In 1986 both the Albufera and the surrounding area, mostly rice fields, were declared a Natural Park. The Natural Park of La Albufera, covers an area of over 21,000 ha. through thirteen municipalities. The Albufera has great ecological value because it a stop off point for thousands of migratory birds and a natural habitat to many other species.
From time immemorial, the traditional uses of the area have been agriculture linked to rice cultivation, hunting and fishing.
There is an Information Center called Raco de l'Olla, located at Ctra del Palmar, where you can find information on different routes around the park.

The Herca bus company has a line that stops at the CV500, 40 meters from the Information Center.
