Fallas Artist Museum of Valencia
The celebration par excellence of the city of Valencia are Las Fallas.
During the celebration, hundreds of satirical monuments are constructed with flammable materials that burn on the night of March 19th, St. Joseph's Day. These monuments are known as Fallas or
Before burning, the ninots are exhibited for several days in the main streets of the city. Each year, by popular vote,two ninots are pardoned, one of the major fallas and one of the the children´s fallas, and they are exhibited in the Fallas Artist Museum.
Valencia Fallas Artist Museum opened in 1993, but has ninots pardoned from previous years. Also, the Museum has a collection of photographs of the best fallas, as well as drawings, paintings and models of ninots.
