Where to Eat in Valencia
Valencian gastronomy is one of the best examples of the famous Mediterranean diet. Fruits, vegetables, fish and shellfish are the main ingredients in Valencian cuisine.
Rice is the main base of Valencian recipes Paella, Valencia's signature dish, followed by Arroz al horno ( rice in the oven), rice with fish, Arroz Negro (black rice with squid and squid ink) and Fideuá (where rice is replaced by noodles).
As for desserts, there is Arnadí (a sweet pumpkin sweet potato and almond cake), fritters (very popular during the Fallas) and Farfons (bicuits) which are usually accompanied by Horchata (a milky drink made from tiger nuts)
Agua de Valencia, a drink prepared from orange juice and champagne is very popular.
