Cathedral of Valladolid
The Valladolid Cathedral, built in the sixteenth century and designed by the architect Juan de Herrera, is a Herrera style building with a barroque touch.
Known as the Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral and episcopal headquarters of the Archdiocese of Valladolid, the Valladolid Cathedral is yet to be finished, mainly due to the lack of resources and expenses incurred by the foundation of the temple, since it is located in an area of vast unevenness of the ground. It earned the rank of cathedral in 1595.
