Church of St. Paul in Zaragoza
The Church of St. Paul (Iglesia de San Pablo in Spanish) is also known as the third Cathedral of Zaragoza. This Mudejar style church was built on an ancient Roman chapel and dedicated to Saint Blas, it was expanded and transformed in the first half of the 14th century.
It is a big church due to successive enlargements. The Mudejar octagonal tower, is one of the best examples of Mudejar tower in Zaragoza. Its interior houses two concentric bodies with a ladder that allows a panoramic view of Zaragoza.
In its interior is an altarpiece by Damian Forment from the sixteenth century. In 1931 it was declared a national monument and in 2001 was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
