The Caesaraugusta River Port Museum of Zaragoza
El Museo del Puerto Fluvial de Zaragoza houses the remains of what was the
outside the building housing the port facilities in the
Caesaraugusta Roman city.
In Roman times, the Ebro River was navigable from Tortosa to Logroño
and from the river port of Caesaraugusta it was redistributed for
goods from the interior, such as wheat, wood, or skins
flax, as the sea, from where the ceramics,
jewelry, wine or salted. The building of facilities
port also served as a storage of these products.
The Museum is part of the Port River, near the Roman Theatre,
Forum and Spa, the route known as Ruta de Caesaraugusta.
