(1)Arzua-(2)Calzada:0-5,9 (5,9 km)
(2)Calzada-(3)O Empalme:5,9-15,0 (9,1 km)
(3)O Empalme-(4)O Pedrouzo:15,0-18,9 (3,9 km)
Description
An easy step with few hills. It runs for a good way along long woodland trails, through eucalyptus forests and meadow.
(1)Arzua-(2)Calzada: 0-5.9 (5.9 km)
We go out of Arzua along the Rua do Carme which brings us to a small road (photo 1) which becomes a path (photo 2) and which leads us to the small village of Pregontoño (photo 3). We skirt along Pregontoño, crossing the N-547 through a tunnel (photo 4) and continuing until the small village of A Peroxa (photo 5). We leave along the small road and continue until, following the arrows, we take a right (photo 6) onto a small path running between trees that leads us to Calzada (photo 8).
(2)Calzada-(3)O Empalme: 5.9-15.0 (9.1 km)
We cross A Calzada along the same small road, bringing us to O Outeiro (photo 9). We leave O Outeiro along the same road (photo 10) continuing until we get to Boavista where we leave the road onto a path running between tall trees. (photo 11). Following the arrows the path (photo 12) leads us to Salceda and again back to the N-547 (photo 13) which we leave after a few metres (photo 14). This path (photo 15) takes us across the the road a couple of times before the 13.6 km (photo 16) from where we continue parallel to to it until the Alto de Santa Irene, also known as O Empalme (photo 17).
(3)O Empalme-(4)O Pedrouzo: 15.0-18.9 (3.9 km)
We leave the Alto de Santa Irene along the road and, after a km going downhill we pass by the hostel of Santa Irene. After the hostel we leave the road onto a path on the right hand side which takes us across the road and returns to it to again cross over it (photo 18) and enter into O Pedrouzo. If we want to spend the night in O Pedrouzo we take the road which takes us to the main street of O Pedrouzo where there are many hostels.
